Prep fall sports teams begin preseason workouts today

Minnesota high school football, boys and girls soccer, volleyball, girls tennis, boys and girls cross country and girls swimming teams all opened preseason training camp today.

“Our staff couldn’t be more excited for this season and getting back on the field,” Duluth Denfeld football coach Erik Lofald said on Sunday evening. “It seems like a million years ago that we walked off the field in Hermantown, but it was only nine months ago. We expect the kids to display HunterPRIDE and have a never quit approach to the football season, academically and in our community. Our players to watch this season, all seniors, are OL/DL Raymond Bandy (committed to UMD), OL/DL Hudson Steger and RB/WR/DB Carter Kilroy.”
