Elite League high school boys hockey in Duluth this weekend

Kowalski’s, an Upper Midwest High School Elite League hockey team showcasing northeastern Minnesota’s best players, is scheduled to play four league games at Mars Lakeview Arena in Duluth this weekend.

Kowalski’s (3-1-2, 8 points), currently in third-place in the 10-team fall league, will face first-place Twin Cities Orthopedics (4-1-2, 10) at 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday, and sixth-place TDS Transportation (2-3-1, 5) at 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.

Defenseman Easton Young, Sr. Grand Rapids — 4 goals, 4 assists, 8 points

Forward Joey DelGreco, Sr. Grand Rapids — 3-4-7

Forward Hayden DeMars, Sr. Grand Rapids — 3-3-6

Forward Kaden Nelson, Sr. Grand Rapids — 1-5-6

Kowalski’s goaltending leader:

Jacob Walsh, Sr. Cloquet — 2.67 goals-against, .922 saves pct.
